Christmas Music for Large Combined Forces Is Hard To Find!!! Your music program is strong. And you’re proud of it. At your annual holiday concert the tradition is to combine your choir, concert band, and orchestra. This way nearly all the students involved in the program are on the stage performing at the same time. It’s wonderful and the families of the students love it. This year I will be composing a new work for these combined forces. The text will be sacred to celebrate Christmas. Don’t spend hours digging through the catalogs this year. Instead, join this consortium and have a new piece composed just for your school. The music will be written for Grade 3.5–4 difficulty. The score and parts will be delivered no later than October 1, 2019. Also included in the consortium: *Full score of combined ensembles *Alternate version of SATB and Concert band & SATB and Orchestra *SATB score with piano reduction *SATB octavos *A Skype rehearsal/workshop The cost to join the consortium is $500. The deadline to sign up is August 1, 2019! Who: Combined SATB Chorus, Concert Band, and Orchestra What: A new sacred holiday work Length: Between 4–6 minutes Text: The Latin Magnificat Style: Joyous and Celebratory When: Sign up by August 1, 2019; score delivery by October 1, 2019 Cost: $500 per ensemble
